French stock market index up 0.73 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained a slight advance of 0.73 percent to close at 4,458.88 points on Friday, up 32.34 points.

The CAC 40 of Paris managed to close slightly higher on Friday with 30 of the 40 selected stocks gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Friday were ArcelorMittal, up 6.58 percent, EDF, up 2.30 percent, and Total, up 2.17 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Friday were Peugeot, down 1.34 percent, Capgemini, down 0.80 percent, and Vivendi, down 0.70 percent.

Essilor Intl. stayed the same as previous trading day.

On the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped by 0.65 percent to close at 4,426.54 points. Enditem
