Vietjet Air named best Asian budget carrier

Vietjet Air has just received the "Best Asian Low-Cost Carrier" title at the TTG Travel Awards 2015, making it the first Vietnamese airline to win the international award, it announced on Friday.

On September 25, Vietjet Air received its 27th aircraft, a new A320, at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the budget carrier said.

Vietnam's air transport sector served 14.2 million passengers in the first nine months of this year, posting a year-on-year rise of 6.2 percent, said the country's General Statistics Office. Endi
