Croatian police officers resign over office building theft

Croatian national police director and three other high-rank police officers stepped down on Tuesday after thieves stealing worth 400,000 U.S. dollars in gold and cash from police office building.

Thieves broke into the police office of Criminal Investigation Department on Sunday night and stole two kg of gold (worth around 79,000 dollars) and 280,000 euros (320,000 dollars) in cash from a safe, according to Croatian News Agency Hina.

Croatian Interior Minister Vlaho Orepic confirmed national police director Vlado Dominic and three other officers had resigned, saying the investigation was underway. However, he declined to give any more details. Enditem
