Dozens of Mexican footballers on top 500 list of World Soccer

World Soccer magazine published a list of top-500 soccer players in the world, which includes dozens of Mexicans, Mexican sports daily Cancha reported on Tuesday.

The list includes Mexican players Carlos Pena (Mexico's Guadalajara), Andres Guardado and Hector Moreno (the Netherlands' PSV Eindhoven), Giovani and Jonathan dos Santos (United States' LA Galaxy and Spain' s Villarreal, respectively).

The list also includes Mexicans Cesar Montes (Mexico's Monterrey), Hirving Lozano (Mexico's Pachuca), Jurgen Damm (Mexico's Tigres UANL), Carlos Vela (Spain' s Real Sociedad), Miguel Layun and Hector Herrera (Portugal' s Porto), Erick Torres (U.S.' Houston Dynamo), Carlos Salcedo (Mexico's Guadalajara), Moises Munoz (Mexico's America) and Javier Hernandez (Germany's Bayer Leverkusen).

The English magazine considers the impact and newsworthiness of each player.

The list also includes foreign players currently at Mexican clubs such as Ecuadorian Fidel Martinez, Argentine Dario Benedetto (both in UNAM Pumas) and Uruguay's Brian Lozano (America). Endit
