Singapore stocks close 0.05 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 1.33 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 2,881.98.

A total of 1.32 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 977.7 million Singapore dollars (715.6 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 213 to 173, while 537 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 0.04 points, or 0.00 percent, to close at 2,880.65 on Tuesday. Endit
