The following are highlights of leading Nigerian media outlets on Wednesday.

-- The National Assembly may on Wednesday adopt 6.07 trillion naira (more than 30.5 billion U.S. dollars) as budget for 2016. This came to light on Tuesday following the successful presentation by the Appropriation Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives of reports on the 2016 budget which they have been working on since December 2015 when President Muhammadu Buhari laid the budget proposal before the joint session of the National Assembly. -- In a bid to tighten money supply in response to the sharp increase in inflation in February, the Central Bank of Nigeria on Tuesday raised its Monetary Policy Rate to 12 percent from 11 percent. (Vanguard)
