Taxi operators charged over attacks on Uber drivers in Australia

Two cab drivers in Australian Queensland have been charged over targeted attacks on Uber drivers who operate outside normal regulations.
The duo will face a Brisbane court on Friday charged with a string of offences, including assault, stealing and unlawful entry of a vehicle.
The charges came after rising frustrations among taxi drivers that the app-based car service is operating illegally in Queensland.
Brisbane detectives have charged two local official cab drivers over assaults on Uber drivers in Brisbane, a police spokeswoman said on Friday.
The men will lose their jobs for the local taxi cab company they work for if found guilty.
