Monchengladbach's Patrick Herrmann sidelined with knee injury

Xinhua, October 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

Patrick Herrmann will be out of action for the next weeks due to a knee injury, the "Foals" confirmed via the club's official homepage on Thursday.

Monchengladbach will have to do it without their 24-year-old midfielder as club doctor Stefan Hertel diagnosed a rupture in the posterior cruciate ligament in Herrmann's left knee.

"After consolation with several knee specialists, we have decided to refrain from a surgery at this stage. In the next four weeks, Patrick will undergo an intensive rehabilitation. Thereafter we will decide with the club, and player, how to proceed," Monchengladbach's clubs doctor Stefan Hertel said.

Herrmann wears since 2008 the jersey of the "Foals" where he provided 31 assists and 34 goals in 168 Bundesliga appearances ever since.

Monchengladbach sit on the 13th place and clash with Eintracht Frankfurt at the 9th round of Bundesliga on October 17. Endi
