Burkina Faso to host 28th Tour du Faso

The 28th international Tour du Faso, one of Africa's premier cycling events, will take place from Oct. 30 to Nov. 8 in Burkina Faso, a source close to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation said Thursday.

This edition scheduled for 28 Oct. - 2 Nov. 2014, which was postponed due to the threat of Ebola, will be held in 10 steps: Ouagadougou, Ouahigouya, Yako-Ziniare Kombissiri-Kaya, Ouagadougou-Koudougou Koudougou, Boromo, Pa-Bobo-Dioulasso Bobo-Dioulasso-Banfora, Dedougou-Bobo-Dioulasso, Koudougou and Dedougou-Korsimoro-Ouagadougou, accompanied by a criterium. \

Burkinabe Abdoul Aziz Nikiema won the last edition in 2014.

The 28th Tour of Faso was originally scheduled for Oct. 1-10, but was disrupted by the failed coup led by Gen. Gilbert Diendere on Sept. 16. Endi
