Greece blamed lenders on Sunday for the new failure to bridge differences in the latest round of talks held in Brussels during the weekend for a reforms-for-cash debt deal to avert a Greek bankruptcy and Grexit in coming weeks.

HAVANA -- Cuba and the European Union (EU) will hold a fourth round of talks starting Monday on normalizing bilateral ties, and paving the way for unrestricted trade and political cooperation.

The talks, to be held in Brussels, Belgium, aim to address the fact that Cuba is one of the few countries that do not have a political agreement with the EU, which for years adopted the United States' policy of isolating the island. (Cuba-EU-Ties)

PYONGYANG -- Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un recently watched a test fire of new-type anti-ship rockets, the official KCNA news agency reported Monday.

The state media said "the rockets, which were developed at the ultra-modern level, are being deployed at the naval units of the KPA (Korean People's Army)," yet without referring to when the firing drill took place. (DPRK-Rocket)

DAMASCUS -- An explosive-laden truck went off near a school in a pro-government district of Syria's central province of Homs on Sunday, leaving 27 people wounded, a monitor group and the official Syrian TV reported.

The car exploded near the al-Buhturi School in the al-Nuzha neighborhood, while students were taking exams, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. (Syria-Car Bomb)
