Rafael Nadal beats Viktor Troiki in Stuttgart Open final

Top-seeded Rafael Nadal overcame eighth seeded Viktor Troicki in two sets to clinch his third title in Stuttgart Open on Sunday.

After reaching his first grass-court final in four years the Spaniard was able to reap his second title of the year following a 7-6 (7-3) and 6-3.

Troicki failed to make use of a break point early in the first set. However, both players were able to hold their serve until the tiebreak before the Serbian made a couple of unforced errors allowing Nadal to put the first set beyond doubt.

Nadal remained focussed at the second set to take the 3-1 lead after breaking through Troicki' s serve. The Serbian failed to connect to his performance from the first set also because Nadal staged a faultless performance. As a consequence, the Spaniard utilized his third match ball, after 1 hour and 25 minutes, to seal the deal and the second title of the year.

"I am really happy with my second title of the year. The title here is very important for my confidence after being four years without a title win on grass court," Rafael Nadal said.

The World' s No. 10 lifted the Stuttgart Open title twice, in 2005 and 2007, when it was a clay court tournament. Endi
