Colombian Falcao's performance did not persuade

Xinhua, June 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

Radamel Falcao, captain of Colombia's national team had a bad performance on Sunday in the game against Venezuela and doubts remain on his role as first-team player.

Venezuela defeated Colombia with a 1-0 result on Sunday in their first game as part of Group C.

Contrary to the expectations, Falcao was one of the worst players in the Colombian team.

Falcao played slow, far from the rival's area, out of contact with his team partners and with a very different attitude from the one he had in the qualifying round for Brazil World Cup last year.

The Colombian star has been highly criticized. Since he was injured last year, he has not been the same. Maybe it is fear of lack of confidence due to his two knee injuries and because last season he was not in a full good shape.

People are expecting Peckerman's reaction to Falcao's bad game to evaluate his role as captain of the team.

Peckerman must also deeply correct the failures of the whole team in their debut against Venezuela. Endi
