Xinhua, March 4, 2017 Adjust font size:

Unidentified armed individuals on Friday morning stormed Koursayel village in Burkina Faso's northern Soum province, killing three people.

Local security forces' source said two unidentified armed individuals on Friday morning killed a school principal as they broke into a school in Koursayel, a village in the Soum province in the northern Sahel region close to the border with Mali and Niger.

"The death toll amounts to three as perpetrators, later on, killed two villagers", the same source said.

Already on February 27, unidentified armed individuals attacked Tongomaye and Baraboulé police stations in the same Soum region, leaving material damages and one injured.

The Ansarul Islam group of the Burkinabe jihadist citizen Malam Ibrahim Dicko has claimed responsibility for the attacks. Endit
