Spanish shares gain Friday

Spanish shares went up on Friday, with the benchmark index Ibex-35 rising 0.85 percent to close at 9,798.50 points.

Share values were up 3.6 percent in the whole week.

Banking firm BBVA soared 3.31 percent, the top winner of the blue chips. Insurer Mapfre rose 2.51 percent, and Caixabank gained 2.45 percent.

Steel producer ArcelorMittal lost 1.39 percent. TV network and media production company Mediaset edge down 1.12 percent. Spanish multinational retailer of food DIA Group dropped 1.03 percent. Endit
