German stocks edge down Friday

German stocks went down on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 32.21 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 12,027.36 points.

The top bluechip winner was Commerzbank, which soared 4.54 percent. Energy group RWE and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer gained by 0.57 percent and 0.42 percent, respectively.

Deutsche Borse Group, the marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities, dropped 2.26 percent.

Linde AG, the multinational chemical firm, lost 1.62 percent, and Deutsche Bank went down by 1.29 percent.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 385.10 million euros (406.85 million U.S. dollars). Endit
