Heat Energy: Clean and Sustainable

Dr. Pang Zhonghe, an engineer with almost 30 years of experience working with geothermal energy in China, said geothermal energy is an important resource for the country and is already being utilized by many of its citizens. Geothermal energy utilizes heat sources within the earth, such as hot water, gases or rocks located beneath the earth's surface, and is renewable and environmentally friendly.

"Beijing has been taking steps to shed its notorious reputation for smog and air pollution. Geothermal energy development may also help," claimed Pang.
