Urgent: Gold down on stronger U.S. dollar

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange fell on Friday as the U.S. dollar strengthened, putting pressure on the precious metal.

The most active gold contract for December delivery fell 1.6 U.S. dollars, or 0.15 percent, to settle at 1,076.30 dollars per ounce. Endit
