The Australian Senate on Monday passes legislations surrounding the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA), clearing the final hurdle to enact the agreement.

The Customs Amendment (China-Australia Free Trade Agreement) Bill 2015 and the complementary Customs Tariff Amendment (China-Australia Free Trade Agreement) Bill 2015 passed the Senate after being approved by the House of Representatives on October 22, 2015. (Australia-China-FTA)

ISLAMABAD -- Afghanistan's ambassador in Islamabad Janan Mosazai on Monday backed an initiative of unofficial dialogue with Pakistan, saying leaders and people can find out solution to problems when they sit down and talk.

Mosazai and several Western diplomats joined members of the civil society from Afghanistan and Pakistan who opened a two-day dialogue at a time when tensions have affected official contacts. (Pakistan-Afghanistan-Dialogue)

NAY PYI TAW -- Myanmar's Union Election Commission (UEC) Monday released the first series of the result of the general election held on Sunday following the opening of the election results center in Nay Pyi Taw.

According to the first series of the result, candidates of the opposition National League for Democracy (NLD) won 12 seats with the House of Representatives (Lower House) from their respective constituencies in Yangon region. (Myanmar-Election-Results)
