Polish Law, Justice Party announces its new gov't

The leading Law and Justice Party announced on Monday the names of those who will make up the new Polish government, which begins its tenure on Nov. 12.
Beata Szydlo will be Prime Minister and Piotr Glinski will act as Deputy Prime Minister.
The list also includes Antoni Macierewicz as minister of national defense, Zbigniew Ziobro as justice minister, Witold Waszczykowski as foreign affairs minister, Krzysztof Tchorzewski as energy minister, and Mariusz Kaminski as the coordinator of special forces.
All ministers have to be accepted and formally appointed by Polisch President Andrzej Duda before they assume office. However, any changes in the list are unlikely.
The Law and Justice Party won the Polish general parliamentary elections in October 2015. The party has an absolute majority in both the Lower Chamber (Sejm) and Higher Chamber (Senat) of Polish Parliament. Incumbent President Andrzej Duda is also a politician from the Law and Justice party.
During the first session of the new parliament this Thursday, the government of former Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz will resign and the new government will be instated. Endit
