Fair, cloudy weather for Beijing V-Day parade

Xinhua, September 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

The weather in Beijing will be mainly fair but cloudy for Thursday's military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, the capital's meteorological bureau forecast on Tuesday.

There is little possibility of rain in the area around Tiananmen Square, where the parade takes place, it said. Temperatures there will be between 25 and 30 degree celsius in the daytime and from 18 to 21 degrees celsius at night on Thursday.

The bureau warned people to wrap up warm in the cooler temperatures expected on Wednesday night, and to be wary of high temperatures and the possibility of sunburn on Thursday morning.

Beijing, which is in its rainy season, is likely to see eight to 20 millimeters of rainfalls from Friday to Saturday. Endi
