1st LD Writethru: 1 killed, 2 injured in low-intensity blast in western India

Xinhua, September 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least one person has been killed and two others injured in a low-intensity blast in the western Indian state of Maharashtra Tuesday, a senior police official said.

"The incident happened at a scrap dealers' shop in Kondhwa, a local market hub in the city of Pune. While one worker of the shop died on the spot, the two injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital where the condition of one is said to be serious," he said, on condition of anonymity.

Police have ruled out any terror angle to the blast, the official said.

However, a probe has been ordered into the incident, he added. Endi
