Singapore stocks close 1.32 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 38. 67 points, or 1.32 percent, to close at 2,882.77.

A total of 1.80 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 11 billion Singapore dollars (790.2 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 301 to 130, while 511 others finished unchanged.
