Togolese PM discloses 22-member cabinet

Togolese Prime minister Selom Klassou disclosed on Sunday the lineup of his cabinet, which comprises of 22 members, including four women ministers.

The new cabinet, with 12 members re-appointed, is smaller than the previous lineup of 26 members, as some of portfolios have been merged, according to an official release.

The new government is marked by the establishment of the Ministry of Health and two ministry-delegates under the State Ministry of Economy and Finance, Planning and Forecasting.

Ten new ministries have entered the government, including the Ministry of Mining and Energy, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Social Action, Women Welfare and Literacy, Ministry of Communication, Culture, Youth, Sports and Civic Training.

Among others, the Ministry of Economy and Finance has merged with the Ministry of Planning and Forecasting.

Below is the lineup of the cabinet:

Adji Oteth Ayassor, reappointed with merged portfolios, heads the Ministry of State, Ministry of Economy, Finance and Development Planning.

Reappointed Mme Victoire Tomegah Dogbe leads the Ministry of Grassroots Development, Crafts, Youth and Youth Employment.

Reappointed Octave Nicoue Broohm heads the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

The Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Administrative Reforms is led by Gilbert Bawara, who was reappointed but has changed portfolio.

The Ministry of Post and Digital Economy is headed by reappointed Mme Cina Lawson.

The Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports is led by Reappointed Ninsao Gnofam.

Colonel Yark Damehane was reappointed as the Minister of Security and Civil Protection.

Robert Dussey retains the portfolio of Minister of Foreign affairs, Cooperation and African Integration.

Colonel Ouro-Koura Agadazi was reappointed to head the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Hydraulics.

Payadowa Boukpessi is the new Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Local Communities.

Mme Bernadette Legzim-Balouki was reappointed to leads the merged Ministry of Trade, Industry, Private Sector Promotion and Tourism.

Pius Agbetomey is the new Minister of Justice and Relations with the Institutions of the Republic.

Me Fiatuwo Sessenou was reappointed as the Minister of Urbanism, Habitat and Living Environment.

The Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Occupational Educations is headed by newly appointed Komi Palamwe Tchakpele.

Andre Johnson remains to be the Minister of Environment and Forestry.

Guy Madje Lorenzo leads the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Sports and Civic Education, while Moustapha Midjiyawa heads the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

Ably Bidamon heads the Ministry Mining and Energy, and Mme Tchabilengui Kolani Yantchare leads the Ministry of Social Action, Women Welfare and Literacy.

The Ministry of Defence and Veterans is attached to the Presidency of the Republic. Endi
