Nicaraguan boxer Arguello to be honored in Managua

Several boxing world champions including Carlos Zarate, Humberto "Chiquita" (Little One) Gonzalez and Alfonso Zamora will take part in a tribute for Nicaraguan boxer Alexis Arguello to be held in Managua on July 1, the organizers said on Sunday.

Managua's City Hall said Mexican boxers Zarate, Gonzalez and Zamora, who are part of International Hall of Fame, will honor Arguello, three-times champion also known as "The Ring's Gentleman."

The boxing tribute will be held in Managua's City Hall and it will be also attended by Mauricio Sulaiman, President of World Boxing Council (WBC).

According to the organizers, the tribute for Arguello will also be attended by Ricardo Rizo Mena, international boxing promoter, and the current WBC super flyweight world champion, Carlos "The Prince" Cuadras. Endi
