Xinhua, June 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

Wang Zhelin had 25 points to help the Chinese men's basketball team beat Lithuania 74-70 in the first of the three warm-up basketball series on Wednesday.

Former NBA player Yi Jianlian had 12 of his 19 points to give a three points lead for China after the third quarter. Then Wang showed his dominance with 15 points in the last quarter, he made a three-point play when Lithuania cut the distance to 64-66 with 1 minute 11 seconds left.

China had 20 turnovers which made coach Gong Luming worry about.

"We conceded too many turnovers, it definitely made me upset," said Gong. "We have a problem of passing the ball, when Lithuania played the full-court press, our players did not handle it very well."

The three warm-ups against Lithuania are planned as preparation for China to participate in the 2015 Asian Men's Basketball Championship which will run from Sept. 23 to Oct. 3 in central China's Changsha. Endi
