French stock market index down 0.21 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 experienced a slight decrease of 0.21 percent to close at 4,987.33 points on Thursday, down 10.42 points.

Affected by the drop of stocks from automobile and telecommunication companies, the CAC 40 closed lower on Thursday with 23 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

Thursday's top three gainers were Gemalto, up 3.17 percent, Accor, up 1.53 percent, and AXA, up 1.27 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Thursday were Bouygues, down 2.43 percent, GDF Suez, down 1.67 percent, and Safran, down 1.40 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 2.37 percent to close at 4,997.75 points, up 115.80 points. Endit
