Xinhua, January 20, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least three policemen were injured when a suicide bomber blew up himself at a check post in Pakistan's north military city of Wah on Tuesday afternoon, local media reported.

ARY News said that the police in the area stopped a passenger bus on an intelligence tip off of presence of a suspected militant inside at a security check post.

The report said that when the cops were frisking the passengers, a man jumped out of the bus and tried to flee by hurling hand grenade at the police.

The policemen chased the bomber until he blew up himself upon being cornered.

Identity of the militants has not been determined yet.

The suspected passenger bus was on its way from capital city Peshawar of the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to north Rawalpindi city, said the report.

The injured police were shifted to a nearby hospital.

The attack happened in Wah cantonment, a city located some 30 km away from the country's capital Islamabad.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Endi
