Dollar rallies back to upper 110 yen zone

TOKYO, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rebounded to the upper 110 yen zone on Tuesday in Tokyo after falling to a four-month low overnight.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 110.71-72 yen compared with 110.50-60 yen in London at 4:00 p.m. and 110.81-82 yen in Tokyo at 5:00 p.m. Monday. It moved between 110.47 yen and 110.98 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2246-2247 dollars and 135.58-62 yen against 1.2270-2280 dollars and 135.75-80 yen in London and 1.2211-2212 dollars and 135.31-35 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon.

U.S. financial markets were closed Monday due to a holiday. Enditem
