British FTSE 100 rises slightly Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.18 percent, or 13.08 points, to 7,288.72 points.

Share price of Standard Chartered increased by 4.01 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Croda International, Merlin Entertainments, Hikma Pharmaceuticals and InterContinental Hotels Group increased by 3.77 percent, 2.90 percent, 1.99 percent and 1.91 percent respectively.

GlaxoSmithKline led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.06 percent, following by GKN (1.78 percent), Mediclinic International (1.55 percent), BT Group (1.08 percent) and Hammerson (1.00 percent). Endit
