The Center for Health Protection (CHP) of Hong Kong is investigating an imported case of Zika virus infection, in which a young woman who has been to South American countries got infected, the health department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) said Wednesday.
The female patient, aged 31, with good past health, presented with headache, sore throat, nausea and vomiting since Friday and developed generalized skin rash since Sunday. She was admitted by a Hong Kong hospital on Monday and has been put under isolation in a stable condition. (Hong Kong-Imported Case-Zika)

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- The local government in Indian-controlled Kashmir on Wednesday ordered a ban on social networking sites for a period of one month.
As per the directive internet Service Providers (ISPs) have been asked to stop transmission of around 22 social networking sites with immediate effect. (India-Kashmir-Social Media Ban)

NEW DELHI -- India and Sri Lanka on Wednesday singed a key agreement on economic cooperation as Prime Minister Narendra Modi held extensive talks with his Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe in the national capital to strengthen bilateral ties.
"Deepening economic collaboration. India-Sri Lanka signed MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) on cooperation in economic project," Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay tweeted after the pact was sealed.

QALAT, Afghanistan -- A senior leader of Islamic State (IS) was captured together with five other IS militants in Afghanistan's southern province of Zabul, a provincial government spokesman said on Wednesday.
