Xinhua, April 26, 2017 Adjust font size:

At least five paramilitary troopers were injured Wednesday after a helicopter carrying them crash-landed in central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, local media reports said.

The helicopter carrying paramilitary troopers crash-landed near Chintagufa in Sukma district, about 398 km south of Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh.

"This evening a helicopter carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commandos crash-landed near a CRPF camp in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, resulting in minor injuries to five occupants," local media quoted CRPF official as saying.

According to reports, an inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the reason behind the crash.

On Monday, 25 CRPF personnel were killed and six others critically wounded in a Naxalite attack in the area.

Earlier during the day, a trainee pilot and flight instructor were killed after their training aircraft crashed on Madhya Pradesh-Maharashtra border. Endit
