British FTSE 100 rises 1.64 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 119.46 percent, or 1.64 points, to 7,382.90 points.

Share price of Ashtead Group increased by 6.19 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Persimmon, Next, ITV and Glencore increased by 5.91 percent, 5.07 percent, 5.01 percent and 4.88 percent respectively.

Randgold Resources led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.69 percent, following by Centrica down 1.06 percent, Fresnillo down 0.87 percent, National Grid losing 0.56 percent and Royal Mail losing 0.54 percent. Enditem
