German benchmark DAX index gains 232.78 points on Wednesday

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Wednesday rose by 232.78 points or 1.97 percent and closed at 12,067.19 points.

All 30 blue-chip shares increased today. Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank and automobile manufacturer Volkswagen gained the most by 5.11 percent, 3.96 percent and 3.36 percent respectively.

Vonovia, Beiersdorf and tire manufacturer Continental gained the least by 0.52 percent, 0.74 percent and 0.78 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 395 million euros (about 416.05 million U.S. dollars). Endit
