Two ministries merged into one in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday signed a decree to establish a new ministry -- Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, according to official media.

The new ministry was founded by merging Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Communications and High Technologies.

Unification of the two ministries is aimed at improving the effectiveness of public administration in Azerbaijan and upgrading transport and communications systems.

The president appointed Ramin Guluzade, 40, as the new minister. Guluzade previously served as Minister of Communications and High Technologies. Endit
