Paris CAC 40 index up 1.24 pct Monday

French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 1.24 percent and closed at 4,888.19 points on Monday.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Monday, up 59.87 points, with 36 of the 40 selected companies experiencing increase.

The top three gainers were Arcelormittal, 5.21 percent, Renault, up 4.40 percent, and Valeo, up 3.26 percent.

The three companies of which the stock prices dropped the most were Klepierre down 0.50 percent, Veolia Environnement down 0.25 percent, and Unibail-Rodamco down 0.23 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained by 0.04 percent to close at 4,828.32 points on Friday, up 2.08 points. Enditem
