Greece condemns terrorist attack on Istanbul nightclub

Xinhua, January 1, 2017 Adjust font size:

The Greek Foreign Ministry condemned on Sunday the deadly terrorist attack on an Istanbul nightclub shortly after the arrival of the New Year.

"We unequivocally condemn the barbaric deadly terrorist attack...We express our solidarity with the Turkish people and convey sincere condolences to the families of the victims, as well as wishes of a speedy recovery to the injured," the e-mailed press statement said.

At least 39 people lost their lives and dozens were injured when a man said to be dressed as Santa Claus opened fire inside a nightclub early Sunday, where between 500 to 600 people were celebrating the new year. Endi
