Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday that his country is ready to sell the most up-to-date military equipments to foreign customers to facilitate the fight against global terrorism.
"These equipments include not just close combat weapons, but also combat aircraft, air defense systems, multiple-launch rocket systems and armored vehicles, everything that helps fight terrorists efficiently," Putin said at a meeting of Russia's commission on military-technical cooperation with foreign states.
As terrorist groups have managed to form well-organized armed units, and often use services of well-prepared specialists with regular army training experience, the Russian leader hoped to sell sophisticated weapons to help neutralize terrorists.
Russia's military-technical exports have amounted to over 50 billion U.S. dollars so far this year, according to Putin.
In his condolences to presidents of Turkey and Egypt over the terrorist attacks in the two Middle East countries over the weekend, Putin urged joint efforts aimed at a consolidated fight against international terrorism.
Twin bombings occurred late Saturday outside a football stadium in central Istanbul in western Turkey, killing at least 44 people and injuring 155 others. In Cairo, an explosion at the Coptic Cathedral took the lives of at least 25 and injured 49 others on Sunday. Endi
