Xinhua, December 12, 2016 Adjust font size:

Liu Yunshan, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with a Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation in Beijing on Monday.

Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said China and Vietnam are "socialist good neighbors with a shared destiny of strategic importance".

The CPC is willing to work with the CPV to implement the consensus reached between Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the CPV Central Committee, Liu said.

He called on the two parties to move in the right direction of party-to-party and bilateral relations, enhance exchanges on state governance and deepen practical cooperation to promote the long-term healthy and stable growth of the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Liu also briefed the delegation on the sixth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee that convened late October.

Pham Minh Chinh, a member of the Politburo of CPV Central Committee, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Head of the Committee's Organization Commission, heads the delegation.

Pham Minh Chinh said the CPV is ready to deepen relations with the CPC to guide the development of bilateral relationship. Endi
