Xinhua, June 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ghana' s U-20 national team, Black Satellites, defeated Ethiopia 4-0 in the second-leg of the Africa Youth Championship (AYC) qualifier played at the new China-aided sports stadium in southern coastal City of Cape Coast on Monday.

The Young Walias of Ethiopia had come into the game with a 2-1 advantage in the first leg played in Addis Ababa a fortnight ago.

But midfielder Yaw Yeboah scored a brace while striker Dauda Mohammed and Evans Mensah got the other two goals to secure Ghana' s qualification to the final stage of the AYC qualifiers on a 5-2 aggregate.

The Black Satellites will face Senegal in the final stage of the qualifiers.

The first leg will be played between the weekend of July 8-10 in Dakar before the second leg in Ghana two weeks later.

Seven teams will emerge from the qualifiers to join hosts Zambia for the final tournament of the 20th edition of U-20 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for February 26 to March 12, 2017. Endit
