A team of Chinese medical experts on Monday briefed Nepalese medical professionals about various diseases and their diagnosis.

During a program organized here by Arniko Society, the Chinese surgeons provided lectures on obstetrics/gynecology, cancer, among other diseases.

Six doctors from the Second Hospital of China's Hebei Medical University, along with the Chinese doctors from BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, shared their experiences with the Nepalese doctors.

Manoj Man Shrestha, a Nepalese radiologist, told Xinhua: "The lecture session and presentation by the Chinese medical experts are very fruitful for us. In fact, such interactions should be held regularly to expand our knowledge."

On the occasion, Chinese doctors gave presentations on gestational trophoblastic disease, TNM classification for lung cancer and gastrointestinal stromal tumor respectively, among others.

Nearly 100 Nepalese medical professionals from renowned hospitals and medical colleges participated in the program.
