Spain receives 18 mln int'l tourists until April

Spain received more than 18.1 million international tourists in the first four months of the year, marking a 13 percent increase compared with the same period a year earlier, economics newspaper Expansion reported on Tuesday.
Around four million British citizens visited Spain in the first four months of the year, reflecting a 19.4 percent increase compared with the same period in 2015. They were followed by the French with 2.7 million arrivals and a rise of 9.5 percent.
Meanwhile, 2.6 million Germans visited Spain, a rise of 6.7 percent, and one million Italians.
It should be also noted that visitors from Ireland and the Netherlands registered big rises of 25.6 percent and 25 percent respectively in the first four months of the year.
Spain, one of the most visited countries in the world, received a total of 68.1 million international tourists in 2015, setting a new record for the country. Some experts said the country could break its own record this year. Enditem
