Xinhua, May 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

Eurozone construction output decreased for the second consecutive month in March, Eurostat said on Thursday.

The first estimates figures show the construction output fell 0.9 percent month-on-month in March, after a decline of 0.6 percent in February.

The decrease is due to civil engineering output falling by 2.0 percent and building construction by 0.8 percent.

On a yearly basis, construction output dropped 0.5 percent, after a rise of 3.4 percent in February.

In the wider European Union(EU), construction output decreased 1.4 percent month-on-month and by 1.4 percent year-on-year. Endit
