Namibia's U-20 Coach, Gerald Gunter is confident of a positive result ahead of the 2017 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations second round first leg qualifying clash against South Africa, on Saturday.
The match is set to be played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, in the capital Windhoek.
Following the team's few days training camp in Ghana, Gunter said his side is ready to take to the field so as to advance in their quest to book a ticket for the continental youth championship slated for next year, in Zambia.
"We had a very productive training camp in Ghana. Intensive training with a lot of lessons from our interactions with local teams. We are well prepared for this game on Saturday," he said.
Gunter said that his side is not intimidated by the experience of the South Africans and aims to make sure the first leg in Windhoek counts before they travel to South Africa for the second leg.
"They have seen us play against Swaziland in the first round but we know that they have players that played in the under 17 World Cup in Chile last year and most players are attached to PSL sides but that worry us much," he added.
Meanwhile, South Africa will arrive in Windhoek on Thursday for the encounter and Gunter said he is currently trimming his selection from 21 down to 18 players in preparation for the clash. Enditem
