Government urges expanding private investment

Xinhua, May 4, 2016 Adjust font size:

The government on Wednesday pressed for more efforts to reduce restrictions on private investment and stimulate investment potential and innovative vitality.

"Market access for private investment will be further eased to build a fair business environment and promote the stabilization of private investment," according to a statement issued after a State Council executive meeting chaired by Premier Li Keqiang.

Private investment is an important supporting power for stabilizing growth, adjusting structure and promoting employment, said the statement.

The State Council will send an inspection team to supervise the implementation of the central government's private investment policies in chosen areas and conduct third-party evaluation.

The aim of the inspection is to improve policies to encourage private investment, respect and maintain enterprises' principal position in the market and advocate entrepreneurship, according to the statement. Endi
