Swedish minister to visit Iran for energy talks

Xinhua, April 21, 2016 Adjust font size:

Swedish energy minister will arrive in capital Tehran on Thursday for talks on energy cooperation with the Iranian officials, the SHANA news agency reported on Wednesday.

Ibrahim Baylan and his Iranian counterpart will discuss the prospect of two countries' cooperation in technology transfer as well as developing different energy sectors of the Middle Eastern country.

In a December meeting with Sweden's Minister for Enterprise and Innovation Mikael Damberg, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said that the two countries can enhance their energy ties while the Sweden companies can supply Iran's petroleum industry with the required state-of-the-art machinery.

Zangeneh also said Tehran and Stockholm can cooperate to optimize energy consumption, petrochemical industry and construction of industrial machinery. Endit
