Ghana' s home-based Black Stars team will play Japan' s U-23 side in an international friendly next month, the Ghana Football Association announced on Wednesday.

The two sides will meet in the MS & AD CUP 2016 hosted by the Japanese Football Association on Wednesday, May 11, at the Best Amenity Stadium in Saga.

The head coach of the side, Maxwell Konadu, has invited 25 players to camp to get ready to travel to Japan for the game.

Six players have been selected from current Premier League leaders Wa All Stars.

All invited players are expected to arrive at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram on Monday, the GFA said in a release.

The Japanese U-23 team will use the friendly encounter as part of preparations ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympics where they are pitted in Group B against Colombia, Sweden and Nigeria. Endit
