-- The Zambian government said it has no hand in determining where ballot papers for elections be printed, as this is the sole responsibility of the autonomous electoral body, the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ).

Chief Government Spokesperson Chishimba Kambwili said it was not true that the government made a decision to print the ballot papers for this year's elections in Dubai instead of South Africa where the papers have been printed.

Opposition leaders have reacted angrily to reports that a Dubai-based firm is a preferred bidder to print the ballot papers. (THE ZAMBIA DAILY MAIL) Endit
