Xinhua, April 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Act 2 of the 2016 ISAF Extreme Sailing Series will be held in east China's coastal city Qingdao from April 29 to May 2, according to organizers on Thursday.

World top sailors from eight teams will drive GC 32 hydrofoil catamarans, which are first used in this season of the sailing series, alongshore, to make a better view for spectators, said Liu Yu, an official of the local sports department.

"GC 32 hydrofoil catamarans will bring fresh experiences for sailors as well," said Liu Yu.

As the Act 2 of the series will meet a three-day holiday of the Labor Day, local organizing committee will hold a photography contest and invite some local citizens to visit yachts aboard.

After finishing the Qingdao events, eight teams will compete in Cardiff of Britain, Hamburg of Germany, Sait Petersburg of Russia, Istanbul of Turkey, Lisbon of Portugal and Sydney of Australia.

The yacht teams finished their first act in Muscat of Oman in March, as the Oman Air clinched the gold.

The Act 2 of the sailing series will be held in the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, the venue of the sailing events of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Enditem
