Xinhua, April 9, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ukraine and China have ratified a program on bilateral cooperation in the space sector for the 2016-2020 period, the State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) said Friday.

"The document covers 71 projects in the space sphere," Nataliya Borotkanych, the SSAU's spokesperson, told Xinhua.

In particular, the program envisages cooperation between the two countries in creating aerospace equipment and a mission to study the planets of the solar system, according to the SSAU.

The program was approved during the third meeting of the subcommission on cooperation in the space field between China and Ukraine, which was held from Thursday to Friday in Kiev.

Ukraine and China launched their cooperation in the space sector in 1995. Endit
