Urgent: Gold down on stronger global equities

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose Tuesday as global equities showed weakness.

The most active gold contract for April delivery added 12.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.03 percent, to settle at 1,222.60 dollars per ounce. Endit
